干燥综合征是一种常见的自身免疫疾病，可引起多器官、多系统损害；目前西医治疗手段有限，部分患者对治疗反 应欠佳。广东省名中医何羿婷教授认为，肾阴亏虚是干燥综合征发病的根本，干燥综合征的发病与肝、脾胃的功能失调密 切相关；随着疾病的发展，往往伴随血瘀程度和症状的加重；部分患者可因地域、禀赋等因素的影响，导致气化功能低下， 使得痰湿蕴结，产生干燥与水湿并存的状态。治疗干燥综合征以滋阴为本，兼顾活血和祛湿，灵活运用各类药物，同时结 合“五运六气”理论指导个体化治疗，可显著改善干燥综合征患者的症状并控制疾病的发展。结合岭南地区物候特点，提 出本病“阴虚为病之本”“瘀血为病之兼”“痰湿为病之变”的病机演变过程。治疗上，善于结合五运六气理论，通过“辨 人”“辨天”“辨病”，灵活运用时方合三因司天方加减，提高了临床疗效。

Sjögren’s syndrome is a common autoimmune disease that can lead to multi-organ and multi-system damage. Western medical treatments remain limited till now，and some patients have poor response to treatment. Professor He Yiting，a renowned traditional Chinese medicine （TCM） expert of Guangdong Province，posits that kidney-yin deficiency constitutes the fundamental pathogenesis of Sjögren’s syndrome， and the occurrence of Sjögren’s syndrome is closely associated with the dysfunction of liver， spleen， and stomach. As the disease progresses，it is often accompanied by the worsening of blood stasis and its related symptoms. Additionally，some patients may develop into impaired qi transformation due to geographical or constitutional factors， leading to phlegm-damp accumulation and the state of the coexistence of dryness and water retention. The treatment of Sjögren’s syndrome should prioritize nourishing yin as the foundational approach， and should also address on activating blood and eliminating dampness. By flexibly employing various kinds of herbal medicines and incorporating the five-circuit and six-qi theory to guide personalized treatment，significant symptom improvement and disease progression control can be achieved. Considering the climatic characteristics of the Lingnan region， Professor He further elucidates the disease’s pathological evolution，i.e.，yin deficiency as the root cause，blood stasis as the complicated cause，and phlegm-damp as the deteriorated cause. In clinical practice，she adeptly integrates the five-circuit and six-qi theory， employs a diagnostic approach that considers the patients’ constitution，the celestial influences，and the disease，and has substantially enhanced therapeutic efficacy by modified use of contemporary formulas plus Sanyin Sitian Prescriptions.
